  • Keeping children safe with Pantosaurus

Thu 27 May 2021 Mrs Tomlinson

    Keeping children safe

    Pantosaurus.
Please look out for this book while out and about this holiday.

In February 2020, NSPCC launched their first ever crowdfunding campaign to create a book about Pantosaurus.

This fun and important storybook will help families and schools have simple conversations to help keep children safe from sexual abuse — in an engaging, visual way. It also helps them to respect the privacy of others.

All profits from the sale of this book will support the NSPCC’s vital work, fighting for every childhood.

  • Modeshift Stars National Travel Award

Fri 14 May 2021 Mrs Tomlinson

    Hi Everyone
We are thrilled to announce that we have achieved our silver award from Modeshift Stars National Travel. We would like to thank our children for using scooters and bikes to come to school, and our very considerate parents who walk all the way to school or park further afield and walk the rest of the way. This is cutting down the parking problem outside school, protecting the planet as well as keeping everyone fit in body and soul. Thanks also goes to the ‘behind the scenes’ hard work that our teachers especially Miss Cleminson and Mrs Marvin put in to build awareness to road safety and personal health and safety including wellbeing. I know the fore mentioned ladies will now be pushing for our gold award. Can I ask that you all continue to support us as you always do.
Remember if you walk to school with your dog, please ensure they are not brought onto the school grounds.
Many thanks and keep up the good work

  • Beat The Street

Wed 14 Apr 2021 Mrs Fitzsimons

Good evening everyone, a reminder that ‘Beat the street’ starts NOW! It’s really easy to register your fob online by going to:

    https://www.beatthestreet.me/rotherham

Next select to create a new account by thinking of a username and password for your child.

Then add the number from your child’s key fob to activate your account 👍🏻

Also if you agree to complete a quick survey you can get a head start with 100 bonus points 😁 It only takes about 5 minutes. I did mine yesterday 😊

We can’t wait to see you all following the map routes and gaining points for our team!

    Thanks
    Mrs Fitzsimons

  • Preparing to welcome you on Monday 8th March

Fri 05 Mar 2021 Mrs Tomlinson
    Hi All

We are so looking forward to seeing you on Monday.
We will open the gates at 8.30 am for you to filter in using social distancing, up to 8.50. You will then make your way around to your usual class drop off/pick up points with one change. Flamingo class (bubble 6) will be in the cubs class, which is next to their own class and round by the annex building to the left. They are having a new floor fitted in their normal room. So please drop off and pick up by the door outside this new class. A sign for bubble 6 will be on the door.

Tiger class (bubble 7) will continue to drop off/pick up at the entrance at the top of the trim trail playground. Bees and Penguins will be in their usual annex classrooms that have their own outside doors. I will be at the reception door to receive Giraffe class (bubble 9) and Zebra class (bubble 8). Giraffes will hang up first for the whole week. This will continue to be their drop off /pick up point.

Foundation classes will also return to the routines and classes (bubbles) put in place before lockdown. Any questions please message your usual class teachers.

We are hoping that the pick up will be staggered too. We will be opening the gate from 2.50pm and hope that all children will be away from school by 3.05pm.

You can ring the office if you need a place for our breakfast club that starts at 7.45 until 8.30 and provides a variety of breakfasts for £3.50 a session.

The dinner menu and routines will continue as before the lockdown.

Important - If children have been given their school learning journey or reading books, please make sure these are returned as they will need them in school.

Don't forget to bring your own water bottles and PE Kits.

We have been clearing out our library and have some lovely books to give away. Make sure your children are aware of this and can choose a book or two at the end of the day to take home to keep.

Sorry this is a big message and don't hesitate to get in touch if you need to.

Here's another huge well done and thank you from all of us at Brinsworth Manor Infants. Have a fabulous weekend everyone : )
  • Try Everything Dance Video

Fri 12 Feb 2021 Miss Kay

The children in Foundation have all worked incredibly hard this half term and myself and the rest of the Foundation team are so incredibly proud of them all.
In a time as uncertain as this, they have remained resilient and determined, and throughout it all, they’ve kept a smile on their faces. Smiles, laughter and fun are contagious and seeing them embrace learning at home and having fun whilst doing so has given myself and all staff in school a reason to smile too.
We wanted to keep sharing and spreading this positivity and happiness, and we've learned over the past few weeks that one of the best ways to bringing happiness into our lives is to simply dance!

So please, dance along with us, and we hope that this makes you smile.

Have a wonderful half term everyone!

  • Wear It Wild for the WWF

    Fri 27 Nov 2020
Across Foundation, we raised a fantastic £125.47, by wearing our animal prints and taking part in some wild adventures and activities. All funds are going directly to the WWF, with a portion of that money being used to adopt an orangutan, a tiger and a penguin (as chosen by the children).
  • Children in Need

    Fri 13 Nov 2020
Thank you to all our parents and carers for helping us support such a fantastic cause and for your very generous donations. We raised an incredible £263.25!
  • Remembrance Day

    Wed 11 Nov 2020
A huge well done all our children at Brinsworth Manor Infants for partaking some very mature and sensible discussions about the brave soldiers who fought to keep us safe in the war. The children were fantastic during our two minute silence.
We spent the day creating some beautiful poppy art that we’re so excited to put up on display.
  • Harvest Celebrations

    Sun 08 Nov 2020

Thank you to all our parents and carers for their many food donations over the Harvest period.

This year our school harvest gift went to Liberty Church, Rotherham food bank.

The staff and volunteers at the Centenary Project were very thankful.
