Physical Development
Your child will need a full PE kit every Monday. The children will be working with Miss Cleminson to develop and refine a range of physical skills, including ball skills, gymnastics, dance and athletics.
We also encourage the children to develop their fine motor skills using mark making tools to paint and draw simple shapes/letters/numbers and encouraging some independent writing, particularly of their own name.
Strengthening the fingers for writing is a key focus, and we will be taking part in "Dough Disco" and other funky finger activities.

We support gross motor development through the use of outdoor play equipment, and opportunities to participate in ‘Forest School’ sessions.
We will enjoy taking part in topic themed "Brain Breaks" and large gross motor movement action songs through the day to keep our bodies moving and active.
