Brinsworth Manor Infant School

⭐️🐯 Welcome to Tiger Class 🐯⭐️

Tiger Class have made a brilliant start to our Spring term exploring our enquiry question: 'How can we build a better future?'

We started with our main text 'Iggy Peck Architect' and linked this to learning about the London Landmarks. This helped us to identify magnificent buildings in the UK as well as locate our capital city of London in our Geography learning. The children have particularly enjoyed learning about 'The Great Fire of London' in our History lessons. They know key facts like where the fire started, how it spread so quickly and how it was eventually stopped. Look below at our photographs from our History day where a Historian brought in special artefacts and Tiger Class imagined they lived in the year 1666.

In maths this half term we have begun learning multiplication and division using practical equipment, completing number sentences and solving problems. TTRockstars is now up and running for children to have fun whilst learning these new operations.

As we move into Spring 2 our enquiry question has led us to focus on 'Climate Change'. We have some amazing new texts to explore and the children's additional questions will hopefully be answered! Look out for more photos soon!

Karate Time!

🐯 Tiger Class 🐯were so excited to be told that Zog had been seen flying over our school! We worked as a team using an aerial map of the Junior School to follow clues and tried to find exactly where Zog had landed! The children were amazing at following the clues and managed to find Zog's footprint, his stretchy bandage, his sticky plasters and his golden star. The children also saw some damaged wood and thought it could have been caused by Zog's landing. Please have a look through out photographs to see what we found! 😀👍⭐
