Our Fantastic Science enhancement day
Celebration to mark the Kings Coronation
This week our wildlife rangers from the infants joined forces with the junior school councillors to do something amazing for the Coronation. We are passionate about our fantastic outdoors and as part of our pledge to make the world a better place we have planted an orchard of apple π and pear π trees π³ on the field. They are along the front of school where the existing cherry and apple trees are. We hope that for years to come they will provide a source of fruit not only for our schools and the community, but also for wildlife. As the trees grow and mature, maybe in generations to come, we will remember this special event and how we made a positive impact on our local environment. Many thanks goes to the local councillors and tree officers as well as rangers for helping us to achieve this.
Brinsworth Environment day at the community centre on Bawtry Road
The children from Flamingo class went to the second environment day held by the parish council today. They got to see the lovely daffodils in bloom that they planted way back in the autumn. They also got involved planting bluebells and garlic to encourage insects and make Brinsworth greener.
The children also listened to a presentation about bees and found out how important honey bees π are to our gardens and environment. The morning ended with drinks and treats. The children were fantastic and I’m sure would be able to tell you all about their exciting environmental morning.
The Key Stage 1 children really enjoyed their puppet show learning experience with ‘Granny Norbag’ this afternoon!
Thank you to all those who supported our visiting puppeteer by buying one of his books.
Malcolm is excited to be performing at the Civic Theatre over the summertime as well as starting his own TV show, featuring Granny Norbag. More excitingly for us, he is keen for our children to create artwork of the characters for his show. I will share details of this very soon on dojo.
The children in Bees, Caterpillars and Grasshoppers have had a fantastic day!
We had a lovely visit from Arona Lo, who lead us in a number of fantastic African Drumming workshops. We enjoyed singing, drumming, clapping and dancing to different rhythms and even put on a wonderful performance for all our parents and carers.
Well done FS2 - what brilliant performers you are!

Presenting our 2022 Christmas performances, available on our private YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure.
All the children have worked incredibly hard to put on a fantastic show and we are so happy to be able to share them with you.
Merry Christmas!
Our Foundation children have enjoyed celebrating World Nursery Rhyme this week.
Have a look below to find our performances and more about what we've been up to.
We are currently facing some technical difficulties with our Grasshoppers performance. This will be uploaded as soon as possible.
You may have noticed in the Rotherham Advertiser that we have been busy making the world a better place by planting trees in Brinsworth. On the 13th October we took Year One children to a special event on Bawtry Road where we officially adopted 10 trees. The children were involved in planting bulbs around the trees and learned about how trees are good for the environment and our wellbeing. We are really proud of the way the children represented our school and helped to make Brinsworth greener. The trees that we adopted are all numbered from 20-30 and are located on Bawtry Road. Maybe you could take a walk and find our trees with your children. Even better you could take the trees a drink of water to help them grow strong and tall for future generations.π±π³
Foundation Stage 2 enjoyed a walk to our local park to take part in a community litter pick. We had so much fun helping out our local community and doing our bit to look after our planet!

Just a quick note to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that has donated food for our Harvest Festival this year. We are overwhelmed by the kindness you have shown π Every single box on display is jam packed with tins and packets!
I have arranged for the church to collect the food this week, so if you still have any last minute donations you’d like to make, there’s time to pop them in tomorrow! The food will then be given to Liberty Church Food Bank and will be distributed to those in need.
Well done Brinsworth Manor Infant School.
You should be so proud π€© ππ»
